New Sculptures: Tiny Porcelain Pumpkins!

We raided the patch yesterday and plucked a number of new pumpkins from the vines!

A few of our new pumpkin friends
These pumpkins (and a few others!) are available in my Etsy shop now.

Grumpa Jack
“All right now, y’all,” Granddaddy says to us. That’s his way of saying good morning.”
― Angie Thomas

We love when we find a few older pumpkins still on the vine, and Grumpa Jack is a real sweetheart. This old Jack doesn't want to reminisce about the old days, though -- he's keen on what's new and happening in your life. The way he sees it, times are changing, and change is good.

Kitty Friend Jack
“If cats looked like frogs we'd realize what nasty, cruel little bastards they are. Style.
That's what people remember.”
― Terry Pratchett

Is there anything more Halloween than a pumpkin and black cat? We found these two hiding near the back of the patch, both a little stunned. We're not sure why they're so wide-eyed, but have determined they're not wonderstruck. Honestly, the way they stare out at the world makes us think they have a bead on the ghosts who lurk nearby...

Gold Teef Jack
“Never mind, never mind, let's get to the part where we smite the unrighteous.
I've brought my most alarming teeth!”
― Nick Harkaway

Gold Teef Jack is a specialist in disarming people with a smile. One look at those shiny toofers is enough to confuse, befuddle, or alarm onlookers. We're sure he uses his special talent to steal candy from trick-or-treaters, so keep your pillowcases close.

You can buy Gold Teef Jack here.

Big Orange Jack
“Orange, Longbottom.”
― J.K. Rowling

We love this classic Jack -- she's exactly what we think of when we picture a carved pumpkin. She's as jovial as she appears. With her around, it's never too early (or too late) to get in the Halloween spirit!

This tiny porcelain pumpkin has a removable top. It has a hole in the back for a light. Light is not included.

Seasick Jack
“Personally, I don't think that having a water goddess for an ancestress is a guarantee of freedom against seasickness, nor come to that, shipwreck.”
― Philippa Gregory

We found Seasick Jack washed up on the shore of one of our favourite beaches on Vancouver Island. She's still puking up seaweed and kelp, so we're not quite sure how she found herself so far from the patch, but we're sure it's quite the tale.
